Sorry I've been taking a bit of a leave of abscence from everything. I've got some sucky tough decisions to make about life and I need to take a step back to really think about everything. In my family there's a saying that bad things come in 3's and it has held true even up until now. Life, Work, Love. All areas I'm having to really look at and decide what it is I'm going for and if I'm truly putting my all into any of them. It hurts to have to look back at your life and determine if you are really living or if everything you have done up to now is just a half-assed attempt at getting by. But that is what I'm having to figure out in these next few days. I'll return in the next week or so, hopefully with more energy, a quiet mind and my heart intact...

hey kristen,

i've been writing on your chat widget. this is shawn wingate. i feel your pain in some respects. it probably becomes more difficult when you are half way around the world and your only communication is online or on the phone. i hope things work out for the best.

Hey there~

I think the psychological part of living abroad is often overlooked. We get caught up in the neon signs and partying...that we forget our life is still trickling along.

For me too I have done many contemplative activities. I just try to remind myself that I am growing into an adult and that means changes and also that things will begin to stay in place.

I don't know exactly what sort of conundrums you are in...but hope you sort through it all.

~ :)

Kristen, I'm totally in the same boat. But I've only been here for 19 days. I understand the importance of taking some time to figure things out.

If you need someone to talk to call me or email.

Hey Kristen,

My name is AviElle' and I teach for CDI; Dongjak branch. I arrived Sept 6, 2008.

I understand how you are feeling, I'm feeling a total disconnect with everyone and everything. I really miss my family.

I talk to my mom and boyfriend alot and read my bible daily, and hopefully soon things will get better.

It's amazing how much we take for granted, like the simple hug of a loved-one.

Hope you'll feel better soon, check out my blog; Seoul Happenings of a Diva; www.avidw.blogspot.com and drop me a message.

Feel better soon, and remember; You Are Never Alone.
