Butterfinger Pancakes

So Heather, Dawn and I took advantage of some half days and decided to get a western-style breakfast. After a few false starts we finally decided to head to Butterfinger Pancakes in Gangnam-gu. At first we thought the food would be tiny for the price. MAN we were very pleasantly surprised. The vibe of the place is awesome. Like a good ol' American diner I remember going to with my mom when I was younger. Seating didn't take very long but we did have to wait a bit for our food to come out.

After we got the food we were happy with the portions as evident by our before...

...and after photos. We were happily full and Heather and I ended up going back to my place and going back to sleep for an hour before work. I think we have found a happy new hang out/get fat eating everything place.

Now that I have a new camera I plan on taking loads more photos and now that I have more time I plan on getting out more to see things. I promise to have more pics soon!!!

THEY'RE HERE!!!

So I picked up two new additions to my family yesterday afternoon. Two lovely cats who are currently hiding under my couch. They are a bit traumatized from the big move and moving into a place that has a loud mouthed dog no less. Hopefully in the next few weeks they will come out of their shells and be ok with things.

Quick Update!

Hello all. So things have been going pretty well here in Kristen-land. It's week 13 so we are getting ready to start a new term next week. That means having a brand new schedule. So now I am waiting for mine. I do know that unfortunately I have to work at 3-6pm on Sundays...sadness indeed. But I'm not sure about the rest of my schedule. Hopefully it will be a good one and I won't want to strangle my kids.

Leon is doing great. He's in Florida on a business trip now but we talk pretty much everyday when possible. I'm working on applying to grad schools back in the states for when I leave Korea in September. Who knows I might come back again. But only to teach in public school where I can actually get a vacation.

I might actually have a surprise to show the blogging world after this Sunday. As my coworker likes to say....I'M EXPECTING!!! Yup, I am going to have two new additions to my household. Now before people start to wonder, I'm not giving birth....I'm going to be picking up two fuzzy friends who will come to live with me=^^=

Heh, 'bout time for this I know...

So it's about time I posted. Sorry sorry, I know it has been a damn long time. And I have no excuse. I have been out and about quite a bit so I have lots of pictures and posts to catch up on. So here is my post on Insadong. Now I didn't spend a hug amount of time there unfortunately but I will be taking another trip back there. So I saw some interesting things. There were tons of people. Of course lots of non-Korean people too. I actually spoke to a group of Japanese girls about the Starbucks sign being in Korean. It was nice to finally use my second language. I need to start studying soon to prepare for my return to the states in September.

I'm sorry. I'm such a bad little blogger these past few weeks. But intensives are now over so I'm not spending my whole time sleeping. Going to do a bit of walking around tomorrow hopefully so I can take some lovely pictures around Seoul and post some. Lots to write but for now I'm gonna hit the bed. Longer post tomorrow!
